The hidden risk of sugar: Is it really more addictive than opioid drugs such as cocaine?
Patient Education & Resources
"The doctor of the future will give no medication, but will interest [her] patients in the care of the human frame, diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease."
-Thomas A. Edison
Hi there!
Welcome to my little corner of the internet where I plan to share all information I have that can support you and your family in achieving a lifetime of healthy, happy smiles. In my career, I have spent thousands of hours attending courses, reading research and books, consulting with other experts, performing my own clinical experiments, and teaching and learning from other practitioners and from my patients directly. There is a bolus of data out there that can be helpful but can also be a bit overwhelming. The content you'll find here is intended to clarify and streamline what's important for you and your family as related to oral and whole-body health. "Doctor" in latin means "teacher", and I find great fulfillment in empowering people with the information they need to live their most vibrant lives.
If you are an existing patient, you know that I spend a lot of your appointment time discussing your history and creating a custom plan moving forward to optimize for all factors. It's my goal that you can also use these evidence-based blogs to reference when you're out of the office and/or need reminders between your 6-month wellness visits as well as information you can conveniently share with friends or family who may be struggling with their health. If that's not the case or you have feedback, please let me know! I'm doing this is for you, and I can only iterate if I know what's working vs. not.
And for those in our community who may not be a patient, this serves two purposes. (1) If you are considering choosing my practice for your oral health needs, I find that this can be a very productive way to vet whether I'm the doctor for you. Of course, it is not required, but you should quickly understand my philosophy of care to decide if I'm the right fit for you and your family. and (2) For those who have no intention of coming to my practice, no problem! But please know that so much of being in good health is based on choices you make at home that are entirely within your control. I hope you can use these free resources on your own health journey with the provider team lucky enough to take care of you and your family.
