The Story

As a 4th-generation dentist, I was able to watch and experience what it means to be a part of a community. I saw how my Grandpa "Doc" seemed to know everyone in his small town of Oak Cliff, TX, because they all seemed to be a patient, or he had helped a family member or a friend; I grew up working in my dad's office in Lancaster, TX, seeing many of those same patient families, riding my bike around the town square, and eating sno cones on the roof top of his office; my sister, who has an amazing practice in the nearby bigger city of Dallas, cares for multiple generations of families who go to her children's schools and play on the local sports teams. And while I never met my great grandfather, I love the stories about his tiny split house/office set up in New Orleans.

It is my goal to create that same environment with my office here in Dorado: to work alongside my neighbors and to care for all those in need in our community.

I really love running into my patient families out in public, especially my pediatric patients, because I guess they think it's like seeing a teacher outside of school, they don't expect that I have a life outside the dental office ;) It's hilarious!

I'm so grateful that when I decided to open a practice in Dorado, my family  volunteered to help me take care of this community. I decided to purchase an old building from the 1950's near the town center of Dorado (pictured above); the building had been abandoned probably more than 10 years ago. It has been harder than I expected to restore (you wouldn't believe what it took to get a toilet in there!), and it is still a work in progress, but I am excited to have sufficiently finished enough space to get started and to start seeing patients!

I'm excited to begin Phase 2 of office development while also building my practice.

Thank you to my husband and daughter, my parents, my sister and her family, and my brother and his family for ALL that you have done to support me. I'll be happy to return the favor in the form of free cleanings for life ;)

Beyond my family, this project would not have been possible without all of the help I received from my extended PR family. My neighbors, contractors, vendors, and friends, each of you have been a critical component of this journey, and I hope you are as proud of the progress as I am.

Take a look inside...
